Made a few swings today. Thought you might want to take a look. Here is what I was focusing on today.
Top of Backswing position:
Downswing Position for clubface angle:
Moe used to say “Lead with the elbows. Check out how my lead elbow is leading.
Lead with the Elbows:
Also notice the pull of the leading shoulder as well.
I also like the look of the leg stabilization in the “sitting motion” of the lower body.
I’ve seen Moe set his feet closed with the driver and flar out his right foot. Just curious?

I hesitate to think about my elbows at the start of the downswing. I feel it to be more important to focus on starting the downswing with hip rotation. I do feel that consciously pulling the right (trail) elbow down into the ribs as I start the downswing with the left leg/hips movement is useful, but thinking “elbows” will encourage an “arm-sy” swing, which has always been my main problem.

Good Point. The hips start the downswing, then rotate leading with the elbows.

I’ve got to say I feel elbows pulling which then brings wrists and hands in some where at rear thigh. Rick Heath
