Another Sleight Hit By Auto With Lucky Result
Enjoying the winter’s snow with childish abandon, Murray Norman, age five, 57 Gruhn street, and Jimmie Laflamme, age six 35 Gruhn street, miraculously escaped injury and possible death shortly before 2 o’clock this afternoon while sleighing on Glasgow street at the rear of Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate.
Riding double on a sleigh, the two children passed beneath a sedan driven by Homer Berner, 35 Weber street east. travelling on Glasgow street. When Berner brought the car to a stop, a rear wheel rested on the broken sleigh, but the two children were unhurt with the exception of a slight cheek bruise suffered by Norman. He is believed to have struck the spring as he was thrown clear.
It was the second accident of this nature in a week, and in both instances, the children have escaped injury.
